Congratulations to this year’s Champions!

Top Fundraisers and this year’s jersey winners: America’s Least Wanted. In addition to raising the most donations, this team had a player fly in from Wisconsin to support this event and Special Olympics!

A Division: Team Cheese. They played hard to break the running reign of the past champs, Homeless Hockey.

B Division: Westy. This returning team played short handed due to injuries (from before the tournament) narrowly defeating Aurora.

C Division: Thin Blue Line.  This long running rivalry between the Thin Blue Line and America’s Least Wanted will continue into 2011.

The real winners are the athletes participating in Special Olympics Colorado. The final amount raised is still being determined and will be posted soon.

Many thanks go out to all our volunteers, players, referees, our grillers from the Knights of Columbus, the employees of Foothills Ice Arena (especially Mark, Marshall and Christine), and Jorden with Precision Edge. They worked hard to keep the ice frozen, food hot and beverages cold!

There will be more to follow later this week- once we all get some rest, ibuprofen and ice.
